Typology City Guide - ATHENS
Find places and buildings that other guides will never take you to.
Athens Typology City Guide is a unique opportunity to discover the unknown buildings of Athens. After the success of the first Typology Monograph on Hong Kong, Rome, New York and Buenos Aires, a second volume of the publication is now available with four new cities: Paris, Delhi, São Paulo and Athens. You can bring the book in your pocket and find the hidden gems of 20th Century Architecture that most guides wont take you to - on location from your phone.
Following five years of intensive research in eight cities, Christ & Gantenbein and their research team at the ETH Zurich present a series of original city apps for architects and building enthusiasts. This inventory of 20th century metropolitan and essentially anonymous architecture represents a systematic yet subjective compilation of urban architecture around the world. The buildings, many relatively unknown, or anonymous, were chosen in order to provide a basis for looking at metropolitan design in the twentieth century, comparing the patterns and differences in building styles found around the world.
The Athens Typology City Guide shows a selection of Athens building types which will make you discover the city from an unexpected angle.
